A new business will kick off at Sunday’s Homestead Market at the old Page Middle School grounds in Gloucester off Route 17.
Tammy Petrowicz started Grammy’s Garden as a creative outlet to share her love of herbalism and gardening with others. “I really do believe that our plants and mother earth can give us a lot of things for our bodies, so I really want to be able to share that with others and share my love of gardening as well as herbalism and how plants can help us,” she said.
Petrowicz left her job after her mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer and her son needed child care; everything fell into place all at once, she said. Starting Grammy’s Garden was a way to supplement her income and get to be creative using the plants she loves to grow, while also being there for her loved ones.
