Francisco X. Valls, M.D. is a new associate at Riverside Medical Group Internal Medicine of Gloucester.

He joins Drs. Robert T. Davis, Geoffrey H. Thomas and Peter J. Zullo in the practice, which is located in the Gloucester Medical Arts Building on the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital campus. Also on staff are four nurses, two medical assistants and six office personnel.

Valls specializes in internal medicine for adult patients—treating diabetes, hypertension and many other conditions—and offers wellness checks and preventive medicine.

Most recently, Valls was a hospitalist specializing in internal medicine at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester. Previously, he worked at a primary care office in Ohio for four years.

He served his residency at a medical facility in Pittsfield, Mass. Valls is originally from Guatemala and graduated from one of that country’s medical schools. He holds U.S. medical licenses.
