Bernadette M. LaCasse is a new agent at the Mathews office of IsaBell K. Horsley Real Estate, Ltd., having passed a test in March to receive her state real estate license.

She began working for Diana Burton, senior agent at the Mathews office, in June. LaCasse said she did support work for Burton, including posting properties with the Multiple Listing Service, taking photographs and handling office tasks.

LaCasse said she found that work so enjoyable that she decided to take the test to become an agent herself. “I get to meet so many interesting people,” she said, “and Mathews County is the best place to live and work.”

LaCasse said IsaBell Horsley and her agents specialize in waterfront properties. The Mathews office handles mostly properties in Mathews, Gloucester and Middlesex, she said, but agents can list and sell properties throughout the region through the Chesapeake Bay & Rivers Association of Realtors’ Multiple Listing Service.
