NELLIE STREAGLE BERGER BRAXTON

Nellie Streagle Berger Braxton, 91, passed away on May 29, 2016 in Tampa, Fla.

She was a native of Gloucester County, and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Kemp Streagle. She was a devoted mother and wife, and was a member of the Eastern Star and also the White Shrine. She was a volunteer for several presidential campaigns and loved to sew and to create her own patterns. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert G. Berger; her daughter, Gail Berger, and step-daughter, Barbara Craft.

She is survived by her husband, Leon (Bill) E. Braxton, (Lt. Col., USAF); her children, Albert Greg Berger, Linda Berger (Stanley), and Scott Berger; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and her step-children, Thomas Braxton (Debbie), Douglas Braxton, Patricia Braxton, and Susan Braxton Dietrich (Chris).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
