Nell Annette Walker Rector, age 76, of Hayes, died at her home on Monday, August 24, 2026. Nell was the daughter of the late Demas and Virgie Brooks Conway and was associated with the Gloucester County School System as a bus driver for 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Henry Walker and Julian Edward Rector, and by her siblings, Virgie Mae Conway Walker, Elijah Conway, Edna Jenkins Walton, and Mildred Oliver. She is survived by sons, Michael Walker (Donna) and Mark Kellum (Rebekah); grandchildren, John Nathan Walker (Breann), McKenzie Walker; a great-grandson, Ayden Nickolas Vela; and sister, Milinda Miller, as well as a host of nieces, including a special niece, Cynthia Dea (David). A graveside service, conducted by Pastor Ralph VanNess Jr., will be held at noon Friday, August 28, 2026, at Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
