Each month the Mission and Evangelism team of Central United Methodist Church, Mathews, gives to a charitable organization that has a positive effect on the community. This month, the church recognized Nelda Gibbs. Judy Moughon, left, of Central presented Nelda with a check for “Nelda’s Closet.” Gibbs purchases supplies, that range from personal items to snacks to shoes, for students at Mathews High School who don’t have the resources to get them.
