Nathan Daniel Parr of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, born Oct. 21, 1987, was lovingly called home by his Heavenly Father on Feb. 18, 2017 at the age of 29.

He is survived by his son, Judah (3); his sister, Caitlyn; his brothers, Aaron and Ethan; his MomMom; his parents, Dan and Sharon, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of nature and art, and his compassionate, kind heart. He loved pirates, treasure hunts, and a good story. He was known as a gentle old soul. He was extremely proud of his son, Judah, and of his role as a big brother.

A memorial service was held in Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers, persons may make donations to a memorial fund established at the Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia to honor Nathan and support the future education of Judah and can be sent directly to the Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia, Inc. whose address is 48 West Queens Way, Hampton, Virginia 23669.
