Nancy R. Pannell, Broker
Nancy Pannell was born and raised in Richmond. Having a background in surveying and sales, she became a realtor in 1980, spending four years with an ERA Franchise, and went on to obtain her broker’s status in 1984, at which time she purchased a Real Estate Company from William DuVal in Richmond.
She has continued to operate her own company through today, selling many homes when negative amortized loans were the only way many people could buy a home in the 1990s.
With 40 years of experience in residential, land sales, annd commercial, and still going strong, she has always had the mind set and motto, “Working for You.”
Her work carries her into Mathews, Middlesex, Gloucester, Lancaster, Richmond and the surrounding areas. Waterfront residential has been an area in which she has excelled since the early 90s, even though she has maintained listings in all price ranges and areas, Waterfront & Non-waterfront.
Denise Tyler, Nancy Pannell Real Estate
Denise Tyler, a native of Mathews County, became a realtor in 2018 and recently joined Nancy Pannell Real Estate of Cardinal. She brings more than 15 years of management, sales and customer service to the work.
She said she specializes in residential real estate, working with customers to help them overcome the idea that they can’t afford the home they want. She said she will work against all odds to help a client move into their dream home.
Having grown up in Mathews, she is well acquainted with the area and said she truly loves the Middle Peninsula known as “Rivah Country.” She said her passions are making her work exciting and rewarding not only for herself but to her clients.
She wants to make dreams come true: “Share your dream with me and let’s make it happen” is her working guide as she builds relationships with her clients.
Tyler spends her spare time running, playing golf, and hunting with her husband, Darren Tyler.
Anita Ottarson, Nancy Pannell Real Estate
Real estate agent Anita Ottarson works with Nancy Pannell Real Estate, Cardinal, and specializes in residential and commercial properties.
She said her work carries her to the Middle Peninsula and Hampton Roads, including Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Poquoson and surrounding counties.
Ottarson describes herself as “very passionate in working hard for her clients” and said she “enjoys working with people and takes great satisfaction in helping others reach their real estate dreams.”
She is a graduate of Alpha College in Newport News.
Born and raised in Gloucester, Ottarson now resides in Mathews County.
In addition to the Alpha education, she graduated from Gloucester High School in 1982, and the Bankers School of Bank Management. Her family includes husband Mark Ottarson, and daughters Marie Foster, Rebecca Hudgins and Brittany Ottarson.
