Nancy Elaine Moore Lane, 76, of Hayes, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Nancy was born in Hampton, and was a former resident of Columbia, South Carolina, before moving back to the Peninsula in 1960. She graduated from Brookland Cayce High School class of 1958, and was a retired cashier from Lou Smith Supermarket.  

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alannah Marie Lane.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Ernest Lane; her sons, Richard Lane, David Lane and Michael Lane; two brothers, Richard A. Moore and Ronald P. Moore; seven grandchildren, Jacquelynn, Sara, Samuel, Tara, Ashton, Caitlin and Nickolas, and five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Tucker, Merida and Kaylee. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Lebanon Christian Church with the Rev. Dennis Worsham conducting. A reception will follow the service in the church social hall. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery, Hampton.
