Nan Swindell Parks, 98, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

She was born in Hyde County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nina Caffee Swin-
dell and the widow of Herman W. Parks. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Kenny Parks and Ryan Parks, great-grandson, Robbie Harwood, and brothers, Jessie and John Swindell.

She is survived by her sons, Herman K. “Bill” Parks and Robert Parks; sister, Evelyn Sadler; grandchildren, Ann Harwood, Matthew Parks and John Parks; great-grandchildren, Kenny, Emily, and Brittany; great-great-grandchildren, Hudson, Harrison, and Troy.

Due to COVID-19, graveside services will be private

The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who provided health care for her and the ones that loved her and visited her or sent cards and showed their love for her.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
