NAMI Peer-to-Peer begins Oct. 5

NAMI Mid-Tidewater is sponsoring a NAMI Peer-to-Peer educational program beginning Tuesday.

The free, eight-session course is for adults living with mental health challenges. It offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope, a release stated. The confidential program is taught by trained peer mentors living in recovery themselves.

Classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7603 Hospital Drive, Gloucester. They will be limited to 12 participants, so pre-registration is required.

To register, contact Pam Mullins at 804-210-1619 or NamiMidTidewater@gmail.com. In addition, a message may be left at 804-684-1480.
