NAACP recognition

The Gloucester Branch of the NAACP recognized the recent heroic action of Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Holt with a plaque last week. On May 7, Holt responded to an overturned vehicle and the driver was underneath with her head pinned by the sunroof. Holt managed to lift the vehicle just enough for the driver to maneuver her head out to safety. Shown during the presentation are, from left, NAACP member, the Rev. Ward Warren Jr., Holt, Gloucester NAACP president Brenda Dixon, and members Dean Vines and Velma Benns.
