NAACP Fall Bazaar Saturday

The Gloucester NAACP will hold its first ever Fall Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Baptist Church, 6188 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester.

The event will include food trucks, crafters, vendors, as well as voter registration and a COVID-19 vaccination clinic provided by the Three Rivers Health Department. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. In addition, students from Hampton University’s speech pathology department will be in attendance. The rain date for the event is Oct. 23.

The event is a fundraiser for the Gloucester NAACP. “We use these funds to be able to provide resources for activities the NAACP sponsors, such as voting rights, education and advocacy for minority issues,” said Kathleen Kellar, 1st Vice President of the Gloucester chapter.

Voter registration ends on Oct. 12 for the upcoming Nov. 2 election, and this is an opportunity to get registered or change your registration status (such as address) in time to vote this year. T...
