N and Out Fishing and Hunting expands

N and Out Fishing and Hunting located at Gloucester Point is one-stop-shop for anglers and hunters alike. N and Out formerly shared a roof with the now-closed Twisters Ice Cream, but has recently expanded, occupying the whole building.

Owner Mi Bush said a lot of people don’t know how much the place has changed since the remodel. Manager Jimmy Bertamini said the decision to change the business and do away with ice cream was based on the location and clientele they see frequenting the store.

Bertamini said a lot of people in Gloucester wanted a store on this side of the Coleman Bridge that sold a variety of fishing and hunting equipment.
For fishing, N and Out sells different live, cut, frozen and artificial bait. They also have a number of rods, reel and rigs to cover the needs of any customer. The business also offers summer boat rentals for those needing a way to get out on the water. Bush said boat rentals will open in mid-April and last through September.

For hunting, the store sells compound bows, crossbows and the arrows and bolts needed for them. They also sell a range of firearm ammunition from small caliber to AR rounds. The store does not sell guns except for muzzleloaders.

The store also sells clothing and accessories such as Calcutta brand apparel and Xtratuf boots. The store also sells its own branded shirts.

N and Out shares its parking lot with J&M Seafood Shack. J&M Seafood shack sells fresh seafood including crab, scallops, fish and clams. Bush said having the shack in the same parking lot really makes the place a true one-stop-shop for customers.

N and Out Fishing and Hunting is open seven days a week with its hours varying by season. For more information on N and Out Fishing and Hunting, visit its Facebook page or call 804-642-9535.
