The musical “State Fair” will be shown in the free Movie Night at the Mathews Historical Museum on Friday night. Doors open at 5 p.m., followed by a slide show on fairs in Mathews County at 5;30 and the movie starts at 6.

A release said the movie is showcased as it relates to the museum’s upcoming May 4 public celebration of May Faire, with its theme: A Rural Life relating to farming, fishing and families.

The museum is located at 200 Main Street, Mathews.
