Museum to hold indoor Christmas Bazaar Dec. 9-10

The Mathews Historical Museum will host an indoor weekend Christmas Bazaar, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10.

Area crafters will display their wares, including baked goods, holiday greens, jewelry, gift and tree-trimming items and children’s hair tinsels.Signed trivets and prints by P. Buckley Moss prints are available as well. One view honors New Point Comfort Lighthouse and the second depicts the deadrise boat, also known as the “workhorse” of the Chesapeake Bay.

“Soups to Go” is a new feature at the Museum this holiday season. The fish soup recipe is inspired by local Southwind restaurant, with fish provided by local supplier Sea Farms, and cornbread supplied by Richardson’s Restaurant as long as supplies last. Interested people can preorder fish soup and/or chili online by Tuesday at www.mathewsvamuseum.org.
