Mrs. Margaret Dentler, 80, of Gloucester, died on July 12, 2015 surrounded by many family members.

She was born in Beckley, W.Va., one of six children of Orville and Edith A. (Mays) Phillips on March 26, 1935.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Kodad (Darell) of Bellevue, Neb., Nancy LaLand (Geoffrey) of Mathews, Ronald Dentler of Gloucester, and Vicki Messick (Rob) of Gloucester; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Stoll of Canton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Dentler.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda, with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Mathews-Gloucester Humane Society or the American Cancer Association. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
