MRA’s Turkey Trot will be held

The Mobjack Rowing Association’s annual Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning (Thursday, Nov. 26), with some adjustments made because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There will be two COVID-friendly options this year to have fun and support Hands Across Mathews,” according to a release from the MRA.

The first option is to come to Williams Wharf and either run, bike or walk, with the trot beginning at 8:30 a.m. In years past, the event started at Mathews High School and ended at Williams Wharf, with a school bus returning participants to their vehicles.

Those coming to Williams Wharf are encouraged to bring a few canned goods or non-perishables that will be collected for Hands Across Mathews. Monetary donations will also be accepted at that time. Those coming out are asked to wear their masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
