Nineteen Mobjack Rowing Association summer rowers competed in the Independence Day Regatta on June 28-30 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mobjack made 13 entries in 10 different events which resulted in one gold, one silver, a bronze and one fourth-place finish in finals, with four other entries making semifinals, but not advancing.

Top finishers in the Women’s Under 17 double, Mandy Moran and Olivia Schulz, pulled the second fastest time in the 25 entry time trials and again in the semis. A freak storm that blew up as they were lining up to race the finals canceled the rest of the day’s races which placed them silver to that point.

Lily Baucom and first-year rower Zoe Sawyer also made semifinals in this event in their first experience at Schuylkill River racing. Moran and Schulz also raced with Lillian Copeland and Macy Johnson to qualify in trial heats and take a bronze finish in the 11-entry Women’s U17 quad.
