Mr. Foster opens a men’s store in Mathews

Mr. R. Wesley Foster has opened a men’s clothing cleaning, pressing and repairing office over the bank. Mr. Foster has been in the tailoring business for some time and understands the method of cleaning and pressing clothes as well as of making them. If you are in need of anything in this line we would advise you to call on him and we are sure he will give complete satisfaction. Remember, over the bank.

We Are Saving Fuel: We the undersigned merchants, located at Mathews C.H., wish to announce that in an effort to help save all fuel that we can our stores will be closed ALL DAY on the next eight Mondays.

 We give this notice in order that our out-of-town customers will not be inconvenienced thereby: L.M. Callis, J.T. Christian, L.S. Miles, Sibley Brothers.
