The Middle Peninsula Bar Association, meeting last Wednesday, nominated Gloucester attorney Julianne B. Dias for appointment as Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Judge for the Middle Peninsula, replacing Isabel AtLee, who is retiring from the position.
The MPBA is comprised of actively practicing lawyers, who have their main office or primary residence on the Middle Peninsula.
Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex counties comprise the Middle Peninsula jurisdiction. Other bar associations in the 9th Judicial District, of which the Middle Peninsula is a part, will hold elections for nomination of a candidate for the Middle Peninsula JDR judgeship. Once all nominations are made, the General Assembly’s Courts of Justice Committee makes a report to the General Assembly, which will make the appointment.
