Moss to sign prints to benefit museum

The Mathews Historical Museum will welcome renowned artist P. Buckley Moss on Saturday, Sept. 11. Moss will be at the museum at 200 Main Street from noon-4 p.m. that day to unveil and sign her new print of New Point Comfort Lighthouse, created exclusively for the museum.

In addition, the lighthouse image will be fired onto a trivet which will be sold with proceeds benefiting the museum.

A release from the museum said that masks and social distancing will be required at the signing.

In her newsletter, Moss said that over the next year, she plans to create three additional prints to celebrate the county’s history. She has resided in the county for about 30 years, operates a distribution center here, and has supported many local nonprofits such as the museum.

Also, marking the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the nation on Sept. 11, 2001, the museum will honor the heroes of that day, the emergency responders who risked and gave their lives. The museum window will ...
