Christine Morillo, Administrator at Sanders Retirement Village, won the Virginia Health Care Association Assisted Living Administrator of the Year award for 2021. She was presented the award at the VHCA-Virginia Center for Assisted Living annual conference last Wednesday in Roanoke as part of the VHCA-VCAL 2021 Fall Summit & Expo.

Morillo has been employed with Riverside Health System for the past 12 years, starting as the Director of Food & Nutrition Services at Patriots Colony in Williamsburg. While in that role, she completed her administration training and became a licensed administrator in spring 2013.

During the summer of 2014, Morillo served as the interim administrator at Patriots Colony before moving onto The Gardens at Warwick Forest. She was the assistant administrator there for three years before becoming the administrator at Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda.
