Information was inadvertently left out of incumbent Mathews Supervisor Paul Hudgins’ candidate profile, which ran in last week’s paper. He is running as an independent in the Nov. 7 election.

Hudgins, who was first elected in 2019, has served as the Mathews Board of Supervisors’ chairman and vice chairman, a position he currently holds. He is also the board’s liaison to the planning commission and is the director of emergency services for the county.
