“The Best School Year Ever,” a comedy by Barbara Robinson, will be presented at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, by the Moose Family Players at the Gloucester Moose Family Center on Moose Drive, off Route 17 in Gloucester. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The play tells the story of the notorious Herdman siblings, who return to disrupt Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. When a class assignment requires students to write compliments about each other, Beth Bradley struggles to find something nice to say about Imogene Herdman. But the assignment eventually leads students to realize there is more to the chaotic family, known as “the worst kids in the world,” than meets the eye.
