Montessori School students hold successful cleanup

The elementary students at Gloucester Montessori School took advantage of some good weather on Thursday, Feb. 27, to get an early start on Clean Gloucester Day.

Students collected six bags of litter from the 8000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway between Lemons Loop and Beaver Drive. “It was incredible,” parent volunteer Carlos Morales said. “When we were ready to shut down for the day, the kids didn’t want to stop. GMS is proud to have made a difference and a positive impact in our community.”

Spring 2020 Clean Gloucester Day will be held Saturday, March 28. The Gloucester Clean Community office provides bags, buckets, grabbers and safety vests for this event, and for other cleanups throughout Gloucester County.
