Monica M. Hutson, 44, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2017.

She was born in Williamsburg on Jan. 4, 1973. She was currently living in Richmond with her companion, Jacob. 

She was an R.N. at Bon Secours, but was currently working, alongside her family dogs, Hope and Marley, in the family business.

She was predeceased by her brother, John “Matt” Hutson.

She is survived by her mother, Debbie Jenkins Gibson of Rockville; her father, John L. Hutson of Mathews but currently living in Buxton, North Carolina; her son, Landon Nixon, stationed in Louisiana with the Army and his wife Taylor, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family received friends at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2:30-4 p.m. A service followed in the chapel at 4 o’clock, with interment private. Condolences may be made at www.woodyfuneral homeparham.com.
