Mobjack rowers compete in Royal Canadian Henley Regatta

The Mobjack Rowing Association’s summer competitive program returned last week from St. Catherines, Ontario, where they competed in the 133rd annual Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, which was held on Aug. 2-9.

One of the largest regattas in North America, the Royal Canadian Henley is held on a 2,000-meter, eight-lane race course which has hosted two World Rowing Championships and the Pan Am Games for rowing.

Mobjack racers entered 30 events, two in the Under 17 year old category, 19 in the Under 19, four in the U23 and five in the Senior Unlimited category.

Highlights of Mobjack women’s results were the U19 Women’s Four with Logan Howlett, Bailey Hamilton, Lilly Thompson, Maddie Lee and coxswain Sammi Fravel placing 17th of 49 entries. Lee and L.
