Mobjack rowers compete at Head of the Occoquan; four strike gold

The Mobjack Rowing Association’s fall racing season came to an end last weekend at the Head of the Occoquan. HOTO is a 5,000-meter head race over two days, running all the single races plus collegiate races on Saturday and then mostly junior, masters and mixed races on Sunday.

MRA’s small group attended the Sunday race entering the women’s youth four, the men’s and women’s club doubles, men’s and mixed quads, netting one gold medal, one silver, one bronze, and fourth- and fifth-place medals.
Fleshing out this small group, Mobjack alumnus Kyle Moran, a freshman at University of Mary Washington; Taylor Dough, a freshman at the University of Delaware, and college graduates Matt Thomas and Tom Minogue also entered with the MRA crew.
