A Mathews Maritime Foundation member appreciation reception will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Kingston Parish House, Main Street.

The wine and cheese reception will be a thank-you to members who have supported the organization over the years and a welcome event for new and incoming members who would like to learn more about MMF, said a press release.

Annual membership renewals and new memberships will be accepted at the door and can be paid by credit card, cash, or check. Membership is $25/person or $35/family.

The public is also welcome to attend the reception with a donation for production of the film, “The Legacy of Gilbert Klingel: Man of Steel,” which was made by director/producer Dave Miller and will be previewed during the meeting, said the release.
