Mills takes part in medical mission in Panama

Jessie Mills, a 2020 Mathews High School graduate who is currently a student at Mary Washington University, spent part of her winter break traveling to Panama with the University of Mary Washington Global Medical Brigade.

On this medical mission trip, the group worked with local dentists and doctors to operate clinics for rural communities in Panama. Mills taught health education to families, took vitals and medical history, worked in the pharmacy, and shadowed health care professionals. She said her trip was made possible by donations from friends and family.
