Miller’s Septic, Plumbing, Drain Cleaning and Electrical, headquartered in northern Gloucester County, recently decided to adopt 45 children in the community for Christmas in honor of the business’s 45th anniversary. 

However, after putting out a call for nominations to the community just before Thanksgiving, the business received applications to support 25 families and a total of 56 individuals. “We ended up giving to more than 45 because Christmas isn’t Christmas if we aren’t doing for others and we just couldn’t say no to anyone in need,” said Ashley Miller, who runs the business alongside her brother Jamie.

Ashley worked to personalize the gifts as much as possible, reaching out to each family to get more information about what the children liked and disliked. The end result was a box truck full of bicycles and dollhouses, scooters and hover boards, dolls, toy cars and more.
