Military and government employees traveling from Gloucester to work at Fort Eustis are eligible to take part in a ride program at no out-of-pocket cost. This is a Monday-Friday vanpool paid through the federal Mass Transportation Benefit Program.

The vanpool leaves from Lowe’s parking lot in Gloucester every morning around 6:10, makes a pickup or two heading south on Route 17, arriving at Fort Eustis about 6:50-6:55 a.m. The van heads back between 3:30-3:45 p.m., getting to Lowe’s around 4:20-4:30, depending on traffic.
