The Petsworth Elementary School PTA sponsored the collection of items for military care packages throughout April in celebration of the Month of the Military Child. Master Gunnery Sergeant Johnny Vasquez of Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, Deployment Readiness Coordinator Doretta Richardson, and the Yorktown Weapons Station’s School Liaison Melissa Johnson visited Petsworth to pick up the donations. Petsworth’s Anchored 4 Life and Student Council Association members had the opportunity to meet Vasquez and ask him questions about his service.
