Miles Armand Yates, 76, of Gloucester, died peacefully at his home Sept. 28, 2018. 

He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, the only child of the late Wilbur and Doris Yates. He was retired from Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown. He loved to work on antique cars and spend time with friends and family.

He is survived by son, Jonathan Pere (Becki); grandchildren, Robby, Heather, Lucas, Vance, Hope, Ariel, Bobby, Alyssa and Alex, and 10 great- grandchildren.

Services will be private.
