MILDRED ROBINS INGRAM

Mildred Robins Ingram, 86, of Gloucester, died peacefully March 8, 2016 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

She was born June 16, 1929 to Thaddeus and Mary Teagle Robins, one of six children. Mildred was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church. Family and friends were Mildred’s passion and delight. She enjoyed crafts and gardening and was a very caring and compassionate person, always putting the needs of others before her own. Mildred loved being with her family and will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Delore Ford Jr. and Corbett Joseph Ingram; brother, Thaddeus M. Robins Jr.; and sisters, Ellie Milby, Susie M. Warren, Mary “Dolly” Milby and Vashti Walker.

She is survived by her children, Jody Ford and wife Beth, Jamie Ford and wife Angel, Christy Walker and husband Rusty and Debbie Ford; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Waclo was held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family extends their appreciation and thanks to the staff at Walter Reed Convalescent Center for the care given to their mother.
