Middle Peninsula RACE spreading the word about opportunities

The Middle Peninsula Regional Career Adult and Career Education (RACE) is spreading the word that enrollment is underway, according to Danielle Robinson, Regional Program Planner.

Members were out in Mathews on Friday putting up signs about the program, which provides instruction to improve adult literacy and basic skills in reading, writing and math; GED preparation, and English skills for English Language Learners.

The current virtual cohort will take a break Christmas week. “We are continuing to register students and completing the intake process during the month of December,” Robinson said. Newly registered virtual students will be placed into class to begin Jan. 4, 2021. Online class can start as soon as the intake process is completed and can continue working throughout the holidays. All classes end with the school year in June.
