Throughout the summer, the Gazette-Journal is featuring the many campgrounds in Gloucester and Mathews counties; places where old-fashioned family vacations are still taking place every summer. This week: Jelly-
stone Park at Gloucester Point.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park at Gloucester Point is a campground filled with fun and activities for all ages.

With just over 200 campsites nestled on more than 40 acres along the Severn River, Jellystone touts itself as the perfect location for fishing, crabbing or exploring the area in a kayak or paddle boat.

Owners Ken and Eileen Gedicke also said their campground is a popular destination for families because of the wealth of activities that are offered to campers during their stay at the facility.

Besides a variety of organized activities such as crafts, tie-dyed T-shirts, sand art and others; the campground offers a large jumping pillow, a splash park, large swimming pool and more.
