Mickey Lynn Adams, 65, of Mathews, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017.

He retired from Chesapeake Corporation (currently WestRock) after 43 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman, loved being on the water and in the mountains. Also, he loved the Yankees and Redskins.

He was predeceased by his parents, William Rodney Adams and Ida Mae Adams; his brother, William Leonard “Lenny” Adams, and his son, William R. “Billy” Adams.

He is survived by three sons, Jeffery Scott Adams (Donna), Christopher Michael Adams (Carla) and Leonard Gilbert Adams (Nadine); his longtime companion and best friend, Elizabeth “Betty” Jordan; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces; nephews; stepmother, Margie Adams, and stepsister, Myra Eudy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Mickey’s name to Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church, 2011 Old Ferry Road, Gwynn, Va. 23066.
