MHS wrestlers win pool at Franklin Duals

On Saturday, the Mathews High School wrestling team went 5-0 to win the B pool at the Franklin Duals. In the contest, Joshua Rosadino (113 lbs., 13-4), Carson Gaimari (126 lbs., 13-4), Aaron Miles (132 lbs., 14-2), Isaiah Bivins (160 lbs., 15-1) and Quinton Dixon (182 lbs., 11-2) all went 5-0 on the day. With his wins, Miles is now only one win away from his 100th career victory, and Bivins is 15 wins away from reaching that milestone. Last Wednesday, Mathews traveled to Warwick to take on Menchville and the host Raiders. As a team, Mathews went 0-2. Individually, four of the MHS wrestlers went 2-0—Lexi Deagle (106 lbs.), Gaimari (126 lbs.), Miles (132 lbs.) and Bivins (160 lbs.). Three others went 1-1—Rosadino (113 lbs.), Dixon (182 lbs.) and Cody Deagle (145 lbs.). Two others—Connor Beattie (120 lbs.) and Brady Wright (170 lbs.)—also competed.
