Over the past weekend, the Mathews High School indoor track team competed in the Boo Williams Winter Break Invitational at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. More than 20 schools were represented in this meet.

John McDonald competed in the boys’ 55 meter dash, finishing with a time of 8.15 seconds. Aaliyah Henderson competed in the girls’ 55 meter dash with a time of 8.81 seconds as well as Sarah Fitzgerald with a time of 8.95 seconds. Henderson also competed in the girls’ 55 meter hurdles crossing the line in 12.84 seconds along with Sarah Fitzgerald with a time of 12.77 seconds.

Kris True competed in the boys’ 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.47 seconds. Tobias Fisher had a throw of 30’ 4.5” and Garrett Applegate threw 24’ 11.75” in shot put.
