MHS talent show to be held Friday

Mathews High School Senior Beta Club students will host a talent show Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium to benefit both the MHS prom committee and also the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.

The talent show will feature 16 acts by MHS students. Singing, stand-up comedy, guitar, drumming, dancing and ukulele acts will be performed. The competition will be judged by five MHS staff members. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners of the competition.

There will also be a silent auction table, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Numerous businesses in the community including Village Lanes, Hillside, the Bay School Community Arts Center, Sweet Frog and the YMCA have donated items for the auction.
