Players on Mathews High School’s spring sports teams earned a number of All-Region honors, announced this week by MHS Athletic Director Amy O’Neil.

Topping the list in softball were Hailey Love and Bentlea Lawrence, who took 1st Team honors, while Marley Brock and Addison Lowe were named 2nd Team All-Region. Hunter Horsley was the only member of the MHS baseball team to make the list, earning 2nd Team All-Region.

Mathews High School was well represented in its soccer program. Four members of the MHS boys’ team—Sal Cardenas, Elton Hudgins, Stanley Ouma and Henry Sowers—earned 1st Team All-Region honors, while Adam Dustin and Elias Hidalgo were 2nd Team All Region selections. For the girls, Meredith Salvadori was named 1st Team All-Region, while Ellie Congrove and Hannah McBurney won 2nd Team All-Region.
