Mathews High School soccer had a massive night on Monday, pulling off a clean sweep against King William. From JV to varsity, the Blue Devils dominated the field, winning all three games. The JV team got the night started with a solid 5-2 win. Marvin Ouma was unstoppable, racking up four goals, while Brijido Fraire added another to secure the first victory of the evening. The varsity girls kept the energy going in a high-scoring nail-biter. Meredith Salvadori secured a hat trick, while Shanell Conrow and Leah Hyde also found the back of the net. The girls fought hard until the final whistle, walking away with a 6-5 win, with this being the first win in program history against the Cavaliers. To cap off the night, the varsity boys delivered a defensive masterpiece with a 5-0 shutout. The scoring was spread out across the roster.
