The Mathews High School soccer teams both posted victories in recent action on the home field. On Friday (above), the MHS girls defeated the visitors from Northampton, 3-2, with Meredith Salvadori scoring a hat trick in the win. MHS player Beanie Rowe is shown competing with a Northampton player for the ball. Last Wednesday (below), the MHS varsity boys posted a 5-0 win over King and Queen. The two teams will host the first round of the regionals on Thursday, May 28, with the girls playing Middlesex at 5:30 p.m., and the boys playing King and Queen at 7:30.
