The Mathews High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams wrapped up their season by placing fourth and fifth, respectively, at the 2020-2021 VHSL Class 1 State Cross Country Meet, which took place at Green Hill Park in Salem.
Cameron Stearns came in first for Mathews and fourth overall with a time of 16:51. Landon Green came in next for Mathews with a time of 17:15, followed by Josh Rosadino who finished at 17:48. Carson Brown ran an 18:33, followed by Dylan White (19:13), Brian Robinson (19:37) and Andrew Greve (19:56).
Melody Smith came in first for Mathews with a time of 22:40, followed by Adelle Hudgins who finished at 23:24. Zoe Goodwin ran a 24:02.50, followed by Zoe Camp who finished at 24:02.60. Anna Raub ran a 25:04, followed by Emily Rosadino (25:17) and Sarah Taylor (26:59).
