MHS Music Department’s fruit sale begins Oct. 7

Mathews High School Music Department’s annual Pee Jay’s fruit sale fundraiser will be held from Monday, Oct. 7 to Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fruit will be delivered to the school during the week of Dec. 2 and will be distributed on the day of delivery by the student from which the fruit was ordered, said a press release from Mathews High School Bands and Choir Director Tim Fary Jr. Some items are available for direct delivery from Pee Jay’s, he said, and may be of interest to people who do not live locally.

Orders may be placed online at http://freshfruitorder.org/MathewsHSFruit and should be attributed to a particular student.

Fary said that numerous trips, performances, outfits, instruments, pieces of music, and other items have been paid for over the years by the annual fruit fundraiser.
