Sal Cardenas was crowned king and Shelby Ray queen during Friday night’s Mathews High School homecoming celebration. Homecoming activities included a pep rally during the school day on Friday, followed by the homecoming parade and, that evening, a presentation by the Marching Blue Devils Band and the presentation of this year’s homecoming court, culminating in the crowning of the king and queen.
