The Mathews High School boys’ and girls’ indoor track teams competed in the Lampert Timing meet on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton. Among the girls, Nora Southard placed first in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump. Jordan Sadeq placed fourth in the 55m high hurdles, 10th in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. Ellie Congrove placed 11th in the 300m dash. Meredith Salvadori placed sixth in the 500m. The girls 4x200 relay team (Meredith Salvadori, Sadeq, Congrove and Suthard) placed fourth. On the boys’ side Lincoln Williams placed 17th in the 1600m. Emily Cardenas and Devi Morrison placed eighth and ninth, respectively, in the JV 1000m. Following winter break, the MHS indoor track teams will return to the Boo Williams Sportsplex on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026....
