The Mathews High School crew will host its Tidewater Crews Regatta on Saturday at Williams Wharf Landing, the first of three home regattas to be held this season by the Blue Devil rowers.

As of Monday, teams scheduled to complete include Christchurch School, Cox, Gloucester, Granby, Great Bridge, Hickory River City (combined Richmond-area team) and the host Devils. The first race is scheduled to start at 8:50 a.m., with races being rowed until after 1 p.m.

A second, smaller regatta will be held at Williams Wharf on April 18 and the third, the 26th annual Mathews High School Regatta, will be held on May 2.

Spectators are invited to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, etc. Parking is available for $8 per car, with a free shuttle bus. Food will be available on site. ...
